• This is an invitation for you to think about the routines of your average day or week. Identify moments in your day where you can choose to practice some self-love.

    Here are some easy ways:

    • When you are sitting at a stop light, recall your image as a child and give it a virtual hug.

    • When you are waiting for your next meeting to start, close your eyes and think of the smell from childhood or your favorite memory that we recalled a few months ago.

    • When you are brushing your teeth.

    • When you are in line at the grocery store.

    • When you are about to start scrolling on social media.

    • When you are buying something online and you see the prompt “is this a gift?” Choose “yes”. Now, write yourself a little love note that you will receive when your order is delivered. This will be a closed loop when the physical note is in your hands. Now, place this note in your treasure box!

Each of these are tiny moments of opportunity to give yourself a quick nugget of love from the Love of Your Life (LOYL) aka you!

Ideas to make this a tangible practice:

  • As you enjoy your morning or afternoon walk, or while you're on the treadmill, take a moment to reflect on the above lesson. You can practice self-love without writing a single letter down.

  • Take a 5-minute breather after a stressful meeting and jot down what flows from this lesson. Keep this safe so you can return to it when sh** hits the fan, again.

  • Place the completed card or note in a spot where you'll find it in the future, like your desk drawer or journal. Revisiting it will remind you of your self-love commitment. You can also take a photo to keep on your phone or share it with our community for encouragement.

  • Remember to love yourself fiercely!
