What is grounding? It’s a therapeutic technique that involves practicing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth. Pretty cool stuff.
We are energetic beings living on an energetic planet. As beings of planet Earth, our hearts share the same resonant frequency of the Earth: 0.1 Hertz. Grounding is an act of synchronizing your individual living system with the Earth’s living system, reinforcing stable, harmonious alignment.
Simply put your feet on the ground and become present to every sensation you can possibly feel from where your foot is touching the ground, from heel to arch to side to toe to toe. If your feet don’t touch, feel everywhere your body is touching the surface that holds you.
Occupy your body in a moment of silence. Breathe and reconnect with the natural world.
Ideas to make this a tangible practice:
Click on the cards to the right to download and save them as a photo on your device of choice. First, check out the instructions here (this will simplify that process for you.)
As you enjoy your morning or afternoon walk, or while you're on the treadmill, take a moment to reflect on the above lesson. You can practice self-love without writing a single letter down.
Take a 5-minute breather after a stressful meeting and jot down what flows from this lesson. Keep this safe so you can return to it when sh** hits the fan, again.
Place the completed card or note in a spot where you'll find it in the future, like your desk drawer or journal. Revisiting it will remind you of your self-love commitment. You can also take a photo to keep on your phone or share it with our community for encouragement.
Remember to love yourself fiercely!
